Elders from the shishalh First Nation share their stories of growing up on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. Their idyllic traditional upbringing is contrasted by their experience with Residential Schools, deliberate starvation and racism. This film shows the struggle of a people rediscovering themselves after decades of assimilation.

Usually I try to be careful with over hyping a film, or setting the expectations too high, as film geeks all are guilty for, however for Tamar Kozlov, this really is not possible.
