'Glwa: Resurgence of the Ocean-Going Canoe' is a film that tells the story of Tribal Canoe Journeys - a decades old gathering on the Pacific coast - specifically from the perspective of the Heiltsuk Nation and its youth who paddle to Nisqually, Washington. On the journey, the Heiltsuk youth connect with other Nations and the ocean environment, all while developing confidence, a sense of pride, and a deep understanding of what it means to revitalize their Indigenous culture.
