Sam Szafran/Outlaw Painter

Sam Szafran/Outlaw Painter

himself. Alone. A filmmaker undertakes a movie about Sam Szafran. About this painter born in Paris in 1934, who defines himself as a complete exile in the art world. This painter who rarely leaves his studio anymore. (A small disused factory in the Paris suburbs.) And steadfastly continues to paint there, until forced out by old age. Based on the artist's personal universe which serves as its material, the film (an experimental road movie about art and time and the artist's mind in creation,) shows its entanglement in the world that it shoots, edits and projects.

Didn't really care about the weak plot and tropes. Good visuals and you'll probably enjoy it if you like Documentary.
