Pretty much everyone who is in this film is ten times better than they've ever been! Retrato Chinês is artistic, beautiful... Perfect colors, perfect everything... gotta love it!

One of the greatest films ever made. Please do not watch it on TV because Xiaoshuai Wang tuned the editing in such a precise way that simply pausing for a commercial break can literally affect the way your brain processes this masterpiece.

The day I saw Retrato Chinês was the first time I've ever seriously contemplated staying at the theater and seeing it again right afterwards. That's because it is literally so stuffed with cool stuff that it was hard to mentally process it all.

This movie blew me away; however not the first time I saw it, I had to watch it twice to truly appreciate the message and the power of this film. Maybe I wasn't fully paying attention or maybe I was too young at the time but I am so glad that I watched it again.
