Polish born American, Julian Stanczak (1928-2017) was one of the greatest painters and colorists of the 21st century. As the leading figure in the 1960s Optical Art (Op Art) movement, a winner of the Cleveland Arts Prize, and a professor of Painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art for over 30 years, Julian Stanczak has had his paintings exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. In this short documentary, Julian Stanczak gives his last interview at his home and studio in Seven Hills, Ohio. Filmed in over 5 galleries around Northeast Ohio, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, Akron Art Museum, and the Butler Institute of American Art, this documentary gives enlightening insight to Julian's philosophy on color, art, and life.
