Understanding Moksha

Understanding Moksha, graduation project of Sameer Kumar, is a documentary that explores and unravels the concept of Moksha. It is believed in Hinduism that a persons' death in Varanasi would help him attain Moksha or Salvation. And in Varanasi, there are Salvation Hotels, where people check-in to have a peaceful death which gets them Moksha. The documentary focuses on these Salvation Hotels in Varanasi, along the banks of Ganges, a revered holy river in India. The study of the life of Kabir is an integral part of the documentary. He lived all his life in Varanasi but passed away outside of it. The documentary also interprets his life and philosophy through his songs drawing parallels with the concept of Moksha.
