LATINEGRAS: The Journey of Self-Love through an AfroLatina Lens

In a performative style documentary, Director/Founder/Filmmaker Omilani Alarcón combines the arts, music, and reflective voice-overs as echoes of the journey to seek one's inner-"beautiful". Notions of beauty and identity are challenged as the question of "who I am" is re-defined through the lens of a multi-generational cast of AfroLatina women. You will find yourself laughing, crying, and enlightened by the roller coaster of thought provoking yet delightful accounts of what it was like growing up Black and Latina. This is a story that relates to anyone who has ever wondered who they are.

Some people said the plot was complicated and difficult to follow. We totally disagree, my wife and daughter thought the plot was easy to follow and they liked the way the story developed and loved the ending.
