Think about a novel (film, play or opera) about the life of a person, in this case an activist, artist and performer. Now think about this fictional life assembled and documented as a museum or gallery installation, complete with photos, letters, and artifacts. This describes a wonderful richly illustrated creation.

The casting was done perfectly. I don't think I've ever watched a movie as visually stunning as this one.

Enjoyed it very much. Don't write it off because of the bad reviews. Give it 20-30 minutes and decide for yourself.
